Only when the goals and benefits of occupational health management are clear to everyone involved can it develop its full impact and make a value-creating contribution to the challenges facing an organization. With our consulting and analysis services, we challenge the status quo, support strategic alignment and encourage consistent implementation.

Leaders have a great influence on the health of their employees. In the specialist department of Leadership, we convey in theory and practice what characterizes a health-promoting leadership style and how implementation can succeed in one’s own everyday work. In addition, we sensitize managers to the relevance of healthy self-leadership and develop practical strategies for sustainable implementation.

Successful teamwork is no coincidence. With the specialist area of teams, we want to provide important impulses and support teams in reflecting on how they work together, improving communication, developing a team culture, and strengthening appreciative interaction and trust among each other. After all, healthy cooperation requires more than just individual skills.

In the specialist department of Mental Health, we have set ourselves the goal of empowering employees to strengthen their mental health. To this end, we base our measures on the findings of psychosocial science. With topics such as resilience, self-care, emotional competence or digital balance, this department encompasses far more than the classic stress management measures. After all, psychological well-being is more than just avoiding stress.

Physical activity is one of the keys to greater well-being. In our offers from the specialist department of Physical Activity, we inform about causes and possibilities, physiological correlations of pain, lack of movement and requirements and show the way to more well-being and a healthy quality of movement in (working) everyday life with the help of practical tips and exercises.

Healthy nutrition with pleasure – in the specialist department of Nutrition, we teach how a balanced diet can be integrated into everyday (work) life in an uncomplicated way – and without having to make sacrifices or use fancy ingredients. In addition, we show the various possibilities to support our body through our nutrition in such a way that it can fully exploit its performance on a physical and mental level and is ideally supplied.

How can a workplace be adapted to the individual characteristics of the employee from an ergonomic point of view? In the specialist department of Productive Workplaces, we get to the bottom of this central question – whether in the office, in the clinical & care area or in production.

Sufficient regeneration and, in particular, sleep are elementary for a healthy lifestyle. In the specialist department Sleep & Regeneration, we want to draw attention to the relevance of these two points and show employees ways in which they can improve their regeneration strategies and their sleep behavior.

DESTIGMATISING MENTAL ILLNESSES

Mental illnesses are stigmatised and a taboo – also (or perhaps especially) in the workplace environment. Yet mental illnesses are the second most common cause of sick leave, cause the longest absence from work and are the main reason for early retirement.

So it is time to take action! It is important to create an environment in organisations where not only mental health but also mental illness is discussed.

We want to

  • support healthy employees in a preventive way
  • improve the situation for those affected
  • make it easier for everyone involved to deal with this issue

In this document we show you clearly how we proceed:

NEW WORK

The change in the world of work, away from “old work” and toward New Work, poses new challenges for companies, employees and teams.

Internal health management can take on different roles – from pure observer to proactive (co-)designer of this new working world. We illuminate the topic from a strategic perspective and show what added value internal health management can create in the context of transformation (e.g., through the design of healthy working conditions and health guidelines).

In addition, numerous opportunities and scope for action arise for employees and teams – but also uncertainties regarding the roles, responsibilities and framework conditions in which New Work takes place.
This is precisely where we come in with various measures: From building important self-management skills (e.g. healthy self-leadership & boundaries), to dealing with uncertainties and stressful emotions, to shaping the framework for good and healthy work at team level (e.g. through approaches from job crafting and positive psychology).

In this way, we help employees and teams to make meaningful use of the newly emerging scope for action and to make the working world not only different, but above all better.

Financial support from health insurance companies

There is not always enough budget available to implement all the necessary measures in corporate health management (chm) and workplace health promotion (whp). However, there are various approaches to overcoming your challenges.

One effective option is to apply for financial support from your health insurance company. Many health insurance companies offer grants and funding programs to support health-promoting measures in companies. These grants can help you to successfully implement important health projects despite limited resources.

Good to know:

According to Sections 20 and 20b of the German Social Security Code V (SGB), health insurance companies are obliged to provide services for preventive health promotion in companies and to support their implementation in companies.
